Who’s Who in the Star Wars Universe – Adi Gallia

Adi Gallia was a female Tholothian Jedi Master and a General in the Republic Army during the Clone Wars. She also had a seat on the Jedi High Council.

During the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan and Anakin tasked Adi with the rescue of Eeth Koth who was held hostage by General Grievous. Adi also assisted Obi-Wan with his investigation of the horned siblings Darth Maul and Savage Opress which led to her demise as the Nightbrother Savage Opress killed her during combat.

Adi Gallia was born on Coruscant. She was spotted by the Jedi Order from a young age when she displayed traits of a Force-sensitive individual. As she developed she was awarded a seat on the Jedi council and given the rank of Jedi Master. It was Adi who first brought the suspicious activities by the Trade Federation on Naboo tot the Jedi Councils attention.

The Separatist Crisis

Adi Gallia continued to serve the Jedi Council during the Separatist Crisis. She and her colleagues approved Obi-Wan Kenobi’s investigation of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, as well as Anakin Skywalker’s mission to protect Senator Padmé Amidala from those who sought to assassinate her.

The Clone Wars

Gallia was a member of the Jedi assault team Mace Windu took with him to Geonosis in a successful attempt to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala, who was sentenced to die by Count Dooku in Petranaki arena. Gallia survived what would go down in galactic history as the first battle of the Clone Wars, and she went on to become a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic.

Rescuing Eeth Koth

The Jedi had found that Eeth Koth had been taken hostage by General Grievous and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The trio of Adi Gallia, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were sent to rescue him. The location was based on Saleucami, and upon arrival, Kenobi engaged in combat with Grievous while Adi and Anakin searched for Eeth aboard Grievous’ ship. Adi Gallia managed to rescue Koth and escort him to a medical Frigate. It was intended that the Jedi would capture Grievous as well as save Koth but he managed to get away via an escape pod.

Aftermath of the Devaron massacre

Although it was presumed that Asajj Ventress was killed during the battle of Sullust, upon receiving the bodies of both Jedi Master Halsey and his Padawan, Knox, Gallia suspected that the assassin was responsible for the murders. She further investigated the bodies with Plo Koon, Saessee Tiin and Obi-Wan Kenobi upon there discovery.

The Battle of Lola Sayu

Adi Gallia went with Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, and Saesee Tiin to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi and his team from Lola Sayu. Gallia, Fisto, and Tiin took on the blockade around the planet while Koon saved Kenobi and his surviving forces. Fleeing the Citadel, the Jedi returned to Coruscant.

Captured by Grievous

Gallia was captured by Grievous when her cruiser was attacked by separatist forces. She then witnessed Grievous attack a pirate ship until she was rescued by Plo Koon, Wolffe and the rest of the Wolfpack.

Skirmish on Florrum and death

Gallia and Obi-Wan were sent on a mission to the Outer Rim to locate Darth Maul and his NightBrother Savage Opress. The pair were located on Florrum and they engaged them in combat, although Savage Oppress became too much for Adi Gallia to handle, resulting in her being slain by the NightBrother. Her death meant that there was an open seat on the Jedi Council which was later given to Coleman Kcaj.
